Let me introduce myself – Mi presento
Hello everyone!
My name is Carla and I am a biotechnologist: I have always been attracted by the infinitely small and by the microscopic world.
This is why I am interested in viruses. I have studied the smallest virus that can infect humans (the hepatitis delta virus, HDV) for many years, and, more recently, SARS-CoV-2, a virus that we have all heard about.
I am currently working in a research centre in Barcelona, but in the past I also worked in Madrid, Pamplona, San Diego, and London.
With this blog, I would like to show you the fantastic world of viruses and biotechnology, and I will be happy if you would join me in my daily life as a scientist. I will write my posts both in Italian and English.
