La zanzara tigre (Aedes albopictus) è una specie invasiva originaria dell’Asia. Si è stabilita nelle zone temperate di Europa e America, dove rimane attiva anche nella stagione invernale. Globalizzazione, urbanizzazione e cambiamento climatico ne hanno favorito l’espansione. Costituisce un problema per la salute pubblica poiché trasmette malattie virali quali Dengue e Chikungunya.
